What semantic technologies are powering semanticweb.com? If it's not using semantic technologies, then why?

of course it's about semantic technologies. But I'd think that if you are doing a web site about a web technology, you would be using that technology. If you do a website about PHP, you do it in PHP, I guess.

if that technology help me to do a site yes but if somebody ask me now what is a semantic web site i don't know if i can answer.
i'm not even sure if the idea of web site and browser have any meaning, :)
