How to start allegrograph services and how to check it running properly?

Hi semantic web gurus, i am new in semantic web and still learning it...fews days ago..im install allegrograph download from fran.com ..after install it and shutdown my server/pc. Today, i have no idea how to start up the services. FYI, my pc run mandriva linux 2011 and using allegrograph 4.8. Please help me to start up the services and how to check it running properly?Thanks in advance.

You can start AllegroGraph by running:

/home/joe/tmp/ag42/bin/agraph-control --config /home/joe/tmp/ag42/lib/agraph.cfg start

You can stop AllegroGraph by running:

/home/joe/tmp/ag42/bin/agraph-control --config /home/joe/tmp/ag42/lib/agraph.cfg stop
